# BESS Report
The BESS report is a complete record of all information entered into the tool for the project.
A BESS project version, and its accompanying BESS report, are 'draft' until published by the user. Project versions should be published before submission to Council.
# Report Overview
# Front page
This is a summary of the key information for the project:
- Overall BESS score
- Project details
- Category scores
- Whether minimum requirements have been achieved
- QR code to view report online
Once you have completed the BESS assessment and you are ready to finalise your BESS report, use the 'View report' button to preview your results.
# Buildings, Dwellings & Non-Residential Spaces
A record of the information entered by the user.
# Supporting Evidence
A list of the supporting evidence requirements and the response entered. As in the tool, this is separated into two categories - Shown on Floor Plans, and Supporting Documentation.
# Credit Summary
A summary view of category and credit scores. Displays all credits relevant to the project. The credit weighting and score is communicated via the bar charts and displayed results. Where credits are scoped out or disabled this is also shown in the credit summary, including the reason provided.
Use the credit summary to easily identify opportunities to improve the project score, or to see which minimum requirements have not been achieved.
# Credit breakdown
This is the detailed section of the report and includes all data entered into profile tables and into individual credits by the user. It also includes results calculated from BESS built-in calculators.
This section of the report includes the credit and category score information that is also available in the credit summary section. The credit weighting and score is communicated via the bar charts and displayed results.
Data entered by the user is shown with a grey background.
# Viewing a BESS Report
View the BESS report for your project version at any time:
- From within the project, via the sidebar 'View Report'
- From the projects page (published versions only)
# Publishing your BESS Report
All BESS reports submitted to Council should be published.
When a project version is published, that version becomes read-only and no further changes can be made. The version is given a unique revision number, e.g. R1, R2 etc.
This allows for endorsement by Council and assists future tracking and recording keeping.
Once you are ready to publish your report, select 'Publish' in the sidebar and follow the prompts. Your project version will update from draft to published, and your published report will be available to view and download.
# Printing your BESS report
Print your report to pdf for submission to Council with your other planning permit documentation.
Use the "Print Report" button on the report page. From here, use your browser print command (either control-P, right mouse click and select 'Print', or other command for your browse). In the Print dialog box select 'Print to PDF'. If you don't have this option you will need to install a pdf printer.
# Changes after submission
You may need to make changes after publishing your report. If this is the case, you can edit your draft report, and then re-publish it for submission to council. Do this under the Projects tab.
