I need to make changes to a BESS project in a retired engine (e.g. BESS-3 or BESS-4) - can I get access?
On request from the relevant council, it is possible to unlock a BESS project in an archived engine. Contact the council and ask them to send the request through (quoting the project ID) to support@bess.net.au
I want to create a project in a council that is not a BESS subscriber - how can I do this?
It is only possible to create projects in BESS subscriber councils. We recommend speaking to the relevant council about alternative ways to submit ESD information. We do not recommend creating a project and choosing a council that does not match the project address - this creates a flag in our system, and the incorrect council will receive notifications when the project is published.
My project is located in a council that is no longer a BESS subscriber - can I still access this?
Yes. Existing projects remain available, including the creation of new project versions - this ensures that any amendments can be made. New projects cannot be created in a non-subscriber council, including copies of existing projects (Save As to a new project).
