# Starting a new project
Once logged in, you land on the ‘Projects’ page. From here you can select ‘New Project’.

The details you enter here will determine which questions and credits are applicable for your project.
# Site type
| Single dwelling | A new house |

| Single dwelling extension | A renovation / alteration / addition to an existing house |
| Multi dwelling (dual occupancy, townhouse, villa unit etc) | A residential development with more than one new dwelling on the site, but no shared facilities (e.g. common gardens, pool, gym etc) |
| Multi-unit development (apartment building) | A residential development with more than one new dwelling and with shared access / common areas and facilities |
| Non-residential development | Any commercial or industrial building |
| Mixed use development | A combination of any of the above |
# Dwelling groups
Once you have selected the site type, you will be asked to input the number of dwellings and non-residential spaces, as applicable to your project. For residential projects, dwellings should be grouped according to the thermally similar properties of the dwellings. An example of thermally similar groupings is provided in the images here. For each thermally similar group, input the number of dwellings in that group.
Dual Occupancy - Rate each dwelling
Townhouse Development - Rate the book end houses (3 exposed sides) and 1 internal
Medium Density (5-10 stories) - Rate Ground floor, middle floor and top floor
High Density (10+ stories) - Rate half the apartments across 5 floors including ground floor, middle floor, top floor and two others
