# IWM2.1 Stormwater re-use - passive irrigation
# Applies to
All subdivisions
# Objective
To sustainably manage water supply and demand, water resources, wastewater, drainage and stormwater through an integrated water management approach.
# Summary
Better practice is awarded where at least 25% of streets incorporate stormwater treatment or passive irrigation to trees or shrubs, as shown in the Stormwater Management Strategy (SWMS) or Integrated Water Management (IWM) Plan.
Excellence is demonstrated where at least 50% of streets include stormwater treatment or passive irrigation to trees or shrubs, as shown in the Stormwater Management Strategy (SWMS) or Integrated Water Management (IWM) Plan.
Design of passive irrigation for street trees should consider crossovers, utilities, and catchment areas to ensure effective water delivery. Supporting plans such as the Functional Layout Plan (FLP) and drainage design should show how WSUD assets are integrated and functionally supported.
